Officials of BOC-Clark turn over seized marijuana, paraphernalia to PDEA

MANILA, Philippines — Some P120,000, worth of marijuana products that the Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark (BOC-Clark) seized, have been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
In a statement on Friday, BOC-Clark said the entire marijuana products were seized from 10 different shipments intercepted between Dec. 2022 and Jan. 2023.
Among those turned over to the PDEA were a pack of cannabidiol gummies, a bottle of Beebe Terpene tincture strawberry diesel, 11 pieces of vape juice, nine pieces of vape cartridge, 23 pieces of disposable vape pens, hemp gummies, three bottles of aroma oils containing marijuana, and 470 tablets of codeine and acetaminophen, or pain relievers – all deemed illegal under the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, for his part, reminded the public that marijuana products are illegal in the country.
“We would like to reiterate that these products with cannabis or marijuana content are dangerous drugs and need further compliance with regulatory agencies such as PDEA and Food and Drug Administration to ensure safe use,” he said. – Meralyn Melitante, Inquirer.net trainee
