A STAY-IN janitor of a security agency was found dead in his workplace in barangay Mabolo while a trisikad driver was shot dead on the road in barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.
Police said robbery could be the motive in the killing of Arnel Montecalbo, 25, because two guns were missing from the St. Martin Detective and Protective Training Inspection Inc.
Police said the victim had external injuries. The cause of death was not immediately known.
The owner of the agency found the janitor’s body past 3 p.m. Monday, said SPO1 Ruth Violango, homicide investigator.
The owner told police that he went to the agency to get something and noticed a foul odor that reached outside the office. He found the bloated body of Montecalbo slumped on the ground.
Police said the killing may have taken place on Good Friday based on the state of decomposition of the victim.
Elsewhere, a trisikad driver was shot dead by two unidentified assailants on Monday night.
Sergius Rabadon, 53, was waiting for passengers in barangay Inayawan, when he was shot in the head and back.
Police said the victim’s brother was also shot and killed in the same area in 2003.
The case is still under investigation. /CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
