MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have arrested three drug suspects and confiscated more than P800,000 worth of crystal meth, locally known as “shabu,” in two buy-bust operations in Marikina City.
The Marikina City Police tagged the three as “high-value” drug suspects. It also said that the drug sting operations were conducted on Wednesday, March 22.
In a report, police said Oscar Gregorio, 41, and resident of Barangay Conception Uno was collared by operatives in Barangay Tumana. He allegedly yielded seven sachets of shabu with an approximate weight of around 75 grams, which has an estimated street value of P510,000.
The other two suspects, Rodolfo Unaroza alias “Rudy,” 39, and Jenny Pasuleme alias “Marimar,” 50, were apprehended during another buy-bust operation, the police also said.
The police noted that Unaroza and Pasuleme were caught in possession of eight sachets of shabu weighing more or less 50 grams worth P340,000 and firearms with 12 rounds of ammunition.
All three suspects were brought to the Marikina City Police-Drug Enforcement Unit for proper documentation and later turned over to the Eastern Police District Forensic Unit for drug testing. All seized shabu were submitted for laboratory examination.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or illegal possession of firearms will be filed against the three suspects.
