First Kadiwa store in Bicol region posts P1.2 million in sales

MANILA, Philippines — The first Kadiwa ng Pangulo store in Bicol Region generated P1.2-million in sales since its launching, said the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Sunday.

According to the PCO in a statement, the said Kadiwa store located in Pili, Camarines Sur reached total sales of P1,212,074 with P431,162 on the first day and P780,912 on the second day.

Meanwhile, the PCO also said that a Kadiwa Store in Cebu City posted a P931,239 total sales.

Currently, a total of 500 Kadiwa ng Pangulo outlets have been launched nationwide.

A special Kadiwa ng Pangulo outlet dubbed as “KNP Para sa Manggagawa” was also launched at the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) head office in Quezon City as part of the expansion of Kadiwa centers nationwide.

These stores aim to give a platform for Filipino farmers, fisherfolk and micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to enable them generate more income through a direct farm-to-consumer trade.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. likewise noted that the initiative aims to provide consumers with cheap basic goods amid the rising inflation in the country.
