Marijuana, shabu worth over P1M seized in Cavite, Quezon

Two alleged big-time drug traffickers were arrested on Saturday night, November 12, and yielded over P251-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Imus City in Cavite province.

LUCENA CITY — More than P1,000,000 worth of marijuana and shabu (crystal meth) were seized on Friday, March 17, from three suspected big-time illegal drug traffickers in Cavite and Quezon provinces.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives in Tanza, Cavite collared around 11:45 p.m. Tirso Felizardo after he sold two sachets of marijuana to an undercover cop in Barangay Sahud Ulan, the Police Region 4A reported Saturday, March 18.

Felizardo’s associate, Jordan Dolim, was able to flee.

Authorities seized from Felizardo 10 blocks of dried marijuana leaves weighing 6.5 kilos worth about P780,000.

Meanwhile, Quezon police chief, Colonel Ledon Monte, said in a report that operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Lucban town police collared at 8:50 p.m. Dennis Sevilla and Aron Jude Quia in a sting operation in Barangay Kulapi.

The duo yielded four sachets of shabu worth P306,000.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Cavite and Quezon police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs seized from the suspects.

The reports tagged the arrested suspects as street-level individuals on the drug watchlist.

All suspects were detained at the local police jails and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
