FDA warns vs unauthorized use of logos
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned unscrupulous sellers against the unauthorized use of its logo as well as that of its parent agency, the Department of Health (DOH), to sell bogus health products on social media platforms.
In a March 14 advisory, the FDA said it was alerted to online posts about “public health recommendations” that claimed that certain health products were backed by the FDA or DOH. —Kathleen de Villa
