Three minors believed to be victims of human trafficking and sexual abuse were rescued in Cebu City, the National Bureau of Investigation reported Wednesday.

The raid in Ronda town stemmed from a tip from the Australian Federal police about the arrest in Australia of Argentinian national, Victor Daniel Ibarram, who was in possession of child exploitation materials showing Filipino children.

It was learned that the minor victims in the materials were sisters of Ibarram’s Filipina partner, who was not identified. The NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division then launched a manhunt which led to the arrest of the sister and the rescue of the minors.
