Woman arrested over bouncing checks in Pasig City
MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested a 45-year-old woman wanted for issuing bouncing checks after she attempted to secure a police clearance in Pasig City.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Pasig City Police Station said a certain Patricia, who is a resident of Barangay Manggahan, was collared by the authorities inside Rosario Police Sub-Station (SS7) along F. Andres St. corner C. Raymundo Avenue on the afternoon of March 14.
The police said an arrest warrant for violation of the Bouncing Check Law (BP 22) was reflected in her E-Warrant System when she was about to secure a police clearance.
The accused is temporarily placed in the custodial facility of the station after acting president judge Margarette Anunciata Bueno Dauz-Aspacio of Antipolo City Municipal Trial Court Branch 4 issued a warrant of arrest.
