Rain in parts of PH due to low pressure area in Mindanao–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Rains are expected in some parts of the country due to a trough of a low-pressure area affecting Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services said Tuesday.

Palawan, Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, state forecasters said.

Meanwhile a ridge of high pressure area,  or clear skies, is affecting across extreme Northern Luzon, it added.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
