Marcos recognizes 2022 top public servants, hopes they inspire Filipinos
MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday recognized outstanding public servants in the hopes that their achievements would motivate Filipinos “to actively participate in our efforts to attain the national development agenda.”
“Let this occasion be a reminder to all government workers that a service rooted in compassion and love for country and its people is indeed possible,” Marcos said in a speech following the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Awards Rites for the 2022 Outstanding Government Workers in Malacañan Palace.
According to Marcos, he anticipates Wednesday’s celebration to be a resounding appeal for everyone to embrace their role in improving the lives of all Filipinos, emphasizing that public servants are fortunate to be freely given the nation’s trust because holding “public office is a public trust.”
Marcos noted that regardless of level or employment situation, being a public worker entails taking on a significant deal of responsibility and obligation.
“Being in government also entails espousing patriotism, integrity, and excellence in every single task and a deep and passionate love of country,” Marcos claimed.
Moreover, the President further underlined that working for the government is difficult for everyone, and it takes a significant commitment for state employees to provide day-by-day genuine and unselfish service.
