Armed ex-drug convict busted anew in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested an armed former drug convict in a buy-bust operation Monday, March 6, in Candelaria town in Quezon province.
Quezon police said in a report Tuesday that cops collared Ruel Yazon, 42, of Candelaria in a sting operation around 8:45 p.m. in Barangay Masin Sur.
The suspect was found carrying an undocumented .38 revolver loaded with three bullets and a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) worth P1,428.
The report tagged the suspect as a street-level pusher on the local drug watchlist.
The police said Yazon was previously arrested for drug trafficking on June 13, 2017 and Sept. 6, 2019, but did not state why and when he was freed.
The suspect is now back in jail and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
