Some roads in Pasig City will be closed to vehicular traffic on February 25, 2023, to give way for a fun run.

MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City will suspend face-to-face classes and offer free rides to commuters who will be affected by the week-long transportation strike starting on March 6.

In response to the government’s public utility vehicles (PUVs) modernization program, around 40,000 PUV drivers in Metro Manila are expected to join the week-long strike despite the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) extension of  the traditional jeepney phaseout to December 31.

Aside from suspending classes and deploying free rides, the city government also rescheduled Arangkada All Motorcade, an event to kick off the area’s celebration of the 2023 National Women’s Month, from March 6 to 13.
