Stabbing ends Tondo Good Friday procession
Four persons, including a teenage girl, caused a stampede during a procession on Good Friday in Tondo, Manila, when they stabbed a 19-year-old boy with broken bottles and the girl fired a gun in the air.
PO3 Joe Cabuhat of the Manila Police District’s Moriones station said Ronnie Boy Mendoza of San Antonio Street suffered multiple stab wounds and was still in the hospital as of yesterday.
Mendoza said the attackers broke the bottles they were carrying upon spotting Mendoza in the crowd.
Before they fled the scene, it was the female in the group who drew a .38 cal pistol and fired two shots in the air to scare away any pursuers. Jeannette I. Andrade
