MANILA, Philippines — The trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will continue to affect parts of Visayas and Mindanao as it remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday morning.

According to Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres, the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 to 48 hours.
