Man stabs neighbor dead for denying him to join drinking session in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY – A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death by his neighbor, who the victim prevented from joining their drinking session in Daraga town in Albay province late Thursday, Feb. 9.

In a report, Lt. Kharren Formales, spokesperson for the Albay police, said the victim was identified as Joven Llaguno, a resident of Barangay (village) Kidaco.

Formales said the victim had a drinking spree at his friend’s house around 9:30 p.m. when the suspect, Ryan Marco Lustina, 35, arrived but was prevented by the victim from joining them.

A fistfight ensued between them until the suspect stabbed the victim several times, which resulted in his instant death.

The suspect was allegedly under the influence of liquor during the incident.

Lustina voluntarily surrendered and is now in the custody of the police for proper disposition.
