Water delivery boy yields P1.8M ‘shabu’ in Lucena City buy-bust
LUCENA CITY — A water delivery boy tagged as a “high-value” target in the government’s illegal drug war has allegedly yielded more than P1.8 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night, Feb. 8, in this city.
Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, identified the arrested suspect as Gerald Dalumpienes, 27, of Barangay Cotta in this city.
Monte said Dalumpienes also acts as a mineral water delivery boy as cover for his illegal activities.
Police anti-narcotics operatives busted Dalumpienes after he allegedly sold P13,000 worth of meth to an undercover cop in a transaction at 10:47 p.m. in Cotta.
Authorities confiscated from him 18 sachets of shabu weighing 91.66 grams with a street value of P1,869,864 at the current price of P20,400 per gram.

The suspect was also previously convicted on drug charges, but policemen did not state why or when he was freed.
Police said Dalumpienes was detained and is facing charges of violating Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
On Tuesday, the Quezon police drug enforcement unit collared another former drug convict, Marvin Guino, 26, in a sting operation in Candelaria town.
