3 drug suspects collared, over P25,800 shabu seized in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested three suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P25,800 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Monday night, Feb. 6, in the Bicol region.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said in a report that Ria Alma Beltrano, 43, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. in Barangay San Jose in Iriga City in Camarines Sur province.

Authorities recovered 2.2 grams of shabu worth P14,960 and P500 buy-bust money from Beltrano.

In Camarines Norte, Victor Cabrera, 42, was also arrested at 11:10 p.m. in Paracale town.

Confiscated during the operation were three sachets of shabu worth P4,080 and P500 buy-bust money.

In Basud town, Francis Camacho, 33, was also arrested at 11:55 p.m. in Barangay Bactas.

Calubaquib said police recovered five sachets of shabu worth P6,800 and P500 buy-bust money from Camacho.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
