Engineer gunned down in Ilocos Sur
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — An engineer was gunned down by still unidentified assailants in San Juan town, Ilocos Sur province on February 4, police said.
According to a report on Monday, police identified the victim as Ronald Pano, 55, who was declared dead on arrival when he was rushed to the Metro Vigan Hospital in Ilocos Sur’s capital city of Vigan.
Pano, also a businessman, was inside his car when the assailants on motorcycle tacked him in Pandayan village. The engineer sustained bullet wounds to his body, the police said.
Authorities were still trying to determine the motive behind the killing. INQ
