P1.01M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Taguig

Some P1.01 million worth of suspected crystal meth, or “shabu,” were seized from four drug suspects who were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Taguig from Feb. 2 to Feb. 3. On Feb. 2, police officers apprehended Samson Balan alias Butatat and Ma. Elaine Alcala along 9th Street, Zone 1, Barangay North Signal Village, Taguig City. Found in their possession were six sachets of suspected shabu reportedly weighing 72 grams. On Feb. 3, suspects Kamarudin Blah and Joy Ensomo were nabbed along Purok 5 extension, Barangay Napindan, Taguig City. Seized from the duo were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing 77 grams. The suspects are now under police custody and face charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —Angel Yabut
