(The effects of northeast monsoon in most parts of Luzon and Visayas is continuous, while it is weakening compared to the northeast monsoon in previous weeks.)

Estareja, however, said amihan will strengthen by mid-February until the end of the month.

“In the coming days asahan po ang paghina ng amihan, magsisimula po ang pagbugso ng northeast monsoon sa kalagitnaan ng Pebrero,” he said.

(In the coming days, expect further weakening of amihan but it will begin to gain strength in the middle of February.)

The weather specialist said the effects of amihan will last until the first week of March.

Pagasa said the Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the entire Visayas see partly cloudy to cloudy skies only with light rains, while the entire Mindanao is expecting partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Due to the weakening amihan, Pagasa did not also raise gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
