Shear line, amihan continue to bring rain in parts of PH — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The shear line and northeast monsoon or amihan continues to bring overcast skies with rainfall in many parts of the country on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its latest advisory.
The shear line, or the weather system forming when cold and warm winds converge, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Eastern and Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Sorsogon, Albay, and Catanduanes.
Meanwhile, the amihan, which is the cold winds blowing from Siberia, will also bring cloudy skies with rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Mimaropa and Bicol Region.
In a public weather forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said the southern portion of Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to thick cloud bands in the area.
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country shall experience fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains to isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
