3 dead, 6 hurt in two road accidents in Camarines Norte
LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — Three persons died and six were injured in two separate road accidents in Camarines Norte province on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 and 28.
A motorcycle driven by a certain “RJ,” 22, with his back rider, Rhea Napol, accidentally hit the rear of a tricycle driven by “Mak,” 33, in Barangay Gahonon at around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, according to Lt. Col. Arnel De Jesus, chief of Daet police.
Both drivers and the three passengers of the tricycle were injured and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
De Jesus said Napol died on the way to the hospital.
Initial investigation said the motorcycle driver tested positive for alcohol in a breath test.
In Santa Elena town, two unnamed minors died when their motorcycle accidentally bumped into a truck parked at the right portion of the road in Barangay Poblacion at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
An 18-year old back rider was injured during the incident.
