Pagasa: Cloudy Saturday with rain showers in parts of PH
MANILA, Philippines — Parts of the country are forecast to have overcast skies and rain on Saturday due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan”, as well as the shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Patuloy pa rin umiiral ang northeast monsoon o amihan dito sa bahagi ng Luzon at ngayong araw mayroon pa rin itong dalang maulap na kalangitan at pag-ulan sa malaking bahagi ng northern Luzon at ilang bahagi din ng Southern Luzon and Central Luzon,” said Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda.
(The northeast monsoon is affecting parts of Luzon and today, it will bring cloudy skies and rain over a large part of Northern Luzon, and other parts of Southern and central Luzon).
Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon are affected by the northeast monsoon.
The shear line, meantime, is affecting the Bicol region, Northern Samar, and Palawan, causing cloudy skies, rain and thunderstorms.
Due to the strong winds brought by the northeast monsoon, Pagasa has raised a gale warning over Batanes, Cagayan and the Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon and Polillo Island, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan including Cuyo and Kalayaan islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Burias Island, eastern coast of Albay, eastern coast of Sorsogon, Northern Samar, eastern coast of Eastern Samar.
Fishermen and those manning or operating small vessels are advised against setting sail.

- Baguio City: 14 to 22 degrees Celsius
- Laoag City: 22 to 28 degrees Celsius
- Tuguegarao: 19 to 27 degrees Celsius
- Legazpi City: 24 to 27 degrees Celsius
- Puerto Princesa City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius
- Tagaytay: 19 to 27 degrees Celsius
- Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 29 degrees Celsius
- Iloilo City: 25 to 28 degrees Celsius
- Cebu: 24 to 28 degrees Celsius
- Tacloban City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
