MANILA, Philippines—The Light Rail Transport Lines 1 and 2 will stop operations early on Wednesday for extensive maintenance activity which will begin Thursday, a spokesman from the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said Wednesday.
In a Radyo Inquirer interview, Atty. Hernando Cabrera, LRTA spokesman said that the LRT 1 line from Baclaran to Monumento and LRT 2 from Santolan to Recto, will close at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Both LRT lines will undergo heavy maintenance and full operations will resume 5 a.m. Monday, Cabrera told Radyo Inquirer.
Meanwhile, the Metro Rail Transit which runs along EDSA will continue its normal operations on Wednesday. It will be closed starting Thursday for maintenance and will also resume normal operations on Monday, 5 a.m.
