BALANGA CITY, Bataan—The bodies of the two pilots from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) whose SF260-TP light attack aircraft crashed in a rice field in Pilar town in this province were flown on Wednesday (Jan. 25) to Villamor Airbase in Pasay City, police said Thursday.
Police Maj. Dennis Ian Revillas, Pilar town police chief, said the remains of Captains John Paulo Aviso and Ian Gerru Pasinos were immediately pulled out of the wreckage of the plane which crashed on Wednesday morning.
Revillas said the aircraft’s wreckage was airlifted to Sangley Point in Cavite City for further investigation.
Pilar town councilor Mario Caguimbal said the owner of the farm where the PAF aircraft crashed had no intention of filing a lawsuit for damages “because it was an accident.”
“I don’t think the landowner will claim for damages or anything like that. It was purely an accident,” Caguimbal told the Inquirer.
