Motorcycle rider dies, 2 others hurt in multiple collision in Cadiz City

A motorcycle driver was killed while two others were injured in a multiple vehicular accident in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, January 25.

BACOLOD CITY — A motorcycle driver was killed while two others were injured in a multiple vehicular accident in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, January 25.

The fatality was identified as Arlo Alacre Galleron, 31, of Barangay Luna, Cadiz City.

Injured were motorcycle driver Roger Moseca Decanay, 30, of Bacolod City, and cargo truck driver Arturo Moreno Pateno, 42, of Cadiz City.

Joseph Natad Coniendo, 53, a resident of Sagay City, was driving a cargo truck when the rear side of the vehicle was accidentally bumped by the dump truck headed in the same direction.

The dump truck also bumped two motorcycles on the opposite lane while the cargo truck accidentally hit a tricycle that was parked on the side of the road, said Lt. Col. Gil John Despi, Cadiz police chief.
