Truck kills motorcyclist in Ormoc City

ORMOC CITY — A motorcyclist was killed after he was ran over by a dump truck in Sitio Tinag-an, Barangay Ipil here at about 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 25.
Rowelson Dayot, 31, was rushed to the hospital but died while being treated at around 2 a.m. on Thursday Jan 26.
Initial investigation conducted by the police showed that both vehicles were traveling in the same direction when Dayot decided to turn to the right lane.
However, the wet road caused Dayot’s motorcycle to slip.
A truck driven by Dexter Montesa, 29, then ran over the victim.
