Prosecutors told to maintain skeletal force

MANILA, Philippines—Prosecutor General Claro Arellano ordered all city, provincial and regional head prosecutors to make sure there will be prosecutors available during the Holy week.

“I want to make sure that there will be a skeletal force ready in the office of the prosecutors in case there will be complaints to be filed or inquest to be conducted,” Arellano said over the phone

He said criminal elements see vacation and holidays as an opportunity to attack.

“So, we have to be prepared,” he said.
