Olongapo City posts zero COVID-19 cases for 3 straight days
OLONGAPO CITY—For three consecutive days, this city posted zero COVID-19 cases, a possible indication that the spread of the virus was slowing down or reaching a plateau.
Data from the local task force showed that the city’s active COVID-19 cases stood at four as of Tuesday (Jan. 24), with no new infections since Jan. 22.
The number of active infections dropped after a virus-infected patient recovered from the viral disease on Monday..
Data also showed that 13 of the 17 villages remained free of COVID-19 infections.
No new deaths related to the disease were also recorded in the past few weeks.
Article continues after this advertisementSince 2020, Olongapo has already tallied 7,617 COVID-19 cases, but 7,242 were already cleared of the virus. Its death toll stood at 371.
