Weekly COVID-19 positivity rate in Zambales still low, says OCTA Research

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–The weekly COVID-19 positivity rate in this province remained low, according to the pandemic monitor OCTA Research data on Monday, Jan. 23.

Citing records from the Department of Health, OCTA Research said the province posted a 4.3 percent positivity rate between Jan. 14 and Jan. 21.

The figure was slightly higher than the 4.1 percent recorded in the previous week.

It was between Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 when the province began to experience a relatively low positivity rate since the holiday season that began in December last year.

The positivity rate is the percentage of tests that turn out positive.

As of Sunday, the province’s active COVID-19 cases stood at 10, with no new infections on the same day. INQ
