Several parts of the country will continue to experience overcast skies with rainfall on Friday due to shearline and the northeast monsoon or amihan, state meteorologists said.

MANILA, Philippines — Several parts of the country will continue to experience overcast skies with rainfall on Friday due to shear line and the northeast monsoon or amihan, state meteorologists said.

In its Thursday weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Bicol region, Quezon province, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to shear line or the weather system forming when cold and warm winds converge.

Amihan, a weather system caused by cold winds blowing from Siberia, will also bring cloudy skies with rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora.

On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
