BACOLOD CITY — The Bacolod police confiscated 13,890.44 grams of illegal drugs worth about P94,454,992 in 2022.
Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesman, said Wednesday cops conducted 511 operations resulting in the arrest of 594 drug personalities, including 38 high value individuals, 538 street level individuals, and six minors.
There were 811 cases filed in court for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The city police arrested 179 most wanted persons and 489 other wanted persons charged with various offenses, Gabana said. In the campaign against loose firearms, 28 violators were arrested and 84 small and homemade firearms were seized.
Gabana said 157 homemade and small firearms and explosives were surrendered, while 42 were deposited at the BCPO. Three others were recovered and turned over to policemen.
Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, Bacolod police director, commended the men and women of BCPO for their accomplishments.
