‘Red fighter’ yields in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY — A member of an armed communist group has surrendered to authorities in this city, the police disclosed on Monday.
In a statement, Colonel Juritz Rara, city police director, said the rebel turned over a caliber .38 revolver and two 40-mm grenades.
The former rebel was placed in the custody of the Angeles City Mobile Force Company for debriefing, documentation, and tactical interrogation.
He would be turned over to the Angeles Forensic Unit for ballistics examination, the city police said.
It said the grenades would be turned over to the city police explosives unit for safekeeping.
