MANILA, Philippines — The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said several flights were terminated Thursday amid inclement weather at specific travel destinations.
Specifically, Miaa said the following flights were canceled for January 12:
PAL Express (2P)
- 2P 2557/2558 Manila-Dipolog-Manila
Cebu Pacific (5J)
- 5J 703/704 Manila-Dipolog-Manila
CebGo (DG)
- DG 6839/6840 Manila-Siargao-Manila
In an advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said a low-pressure area and shear line affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to cause widespread rain in these areas.
Pagasa also similar situation may be anticipated in northern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
Also, on Thursday, many local government units suspended classes in schools within their respective jurisdictions due to bad weather.
