LUCENA CITY — Police seized more than P380,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from five suspected drug traders during buy-bust operations on Wednesday in Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal provinces.

Anti-narcotics operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite arrested Ronnie Guevarra and Mary Rose Tamayo after they sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Sampaloc 4 around 10:30 p.m., the Region 4A police said in a report Thursday.

The suspects yielded 21 sachets of meth weighing 36.70 grams worth about P249,560.

In Binangonan, Rizal, the police collared Maria Dolores Reed and Ken Reed at 7 p.m. in Barangay Manggahan Ibaba.

Authorities confiscated from the suspects seven sachets of shabu worth about P58,072.

In Barangay Real in Calamba, Laguna, operatives arrested at 4:40 p.m. Randy Pascual.

Pascual was caught with four sachets of meth worth P47,600.

Kenneth Resurreccion was also nabbed around 11 p.m. in Barangay Oogong in Santa Cruz town.

The police confiscated P24,800 from the suspect.

All suspects were detained and face complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
