P370,000 shabu seized in Calabarzon drug busts
LUCENA CITY — Police busted eight suspects in drug stings on Tuesday, Nov. 22, and confiscated shabu (crystal meth) worth more than P370,000 in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal.
Members of the police drug enforcement unit in Bauan, Batangas nabbed Allan Melendrez after he sold at 5:44 a.m. a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Poblacion 2, the Region 4A police said in a report Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Melendrez, a drug pusher on the police watch list, yielded four sachets of meth worth about P110,000 as valued by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
In Barangay Platero, Biñan City, Laguna, police collared at 7:20 a.m. Roldan Valentin and Trixxy Empag, both tagged as street-level pushers.
They were found with 21 sachets of shabu worth P35,750.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal, anti-narcotics agents arrested at 2:10 p.m. Francisco Gregorio, another identified shabu peddler, after finding him carrying 10 sachets of meth worth P136,000.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Dasmariñas City, operatives busted at around 8 p.m. alleged drug group leader, Justin Joshua Gabin and his associates, Reynaldo Amoranto, Abigail Topacio, and her sister, Angelita, in Barangay Salawag.
Authorities seized seven sachets of meth with an estimated DDB value of P88,400.
All suspects were detained and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
