Warm, clear skies in N. Luzon, rain in other parts of PH–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather is expected across Northern Luzon as a ridge of high pressure area affects the region, state forecasters said Tuesday.

In contrast to a low pressure area high pressure area is associated with clear, blue skies.

The hottest day for 2012 in Manila was recorded last March 23 at 34.7 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the whole country would experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and coming from the northeast over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be light to moderate, it added.
