As of Tuesday, Comelec has conducted seminars for 3,787 senior high school students in the provinces of Isabela, Cagayan, Negros Oriental, Tarlac, Bohol, Lanao del Norte, Davao, Zamboanga, and Capiz.

Its satellite registration in these seminars also garnered 741 regular applicants and 573 SK applicants, for a total of 1,314 registrants, as of the second day of the education drive.

The seminar tackled the importance of being a voter, the step-by-step process of voter registration, the qualifications and duties of elected officials in the Barangay and SK, and the fight against disinformation in elections, among others.

The Comelec said the drive was part of its commitment to reach even the most far-flung island municipalities in accordance with its mandate to inform and produce an active Filipino electorate.
