War materiel unearthed in Pangasinan town

DAGUPAN CITY — Two vintage bombs, a grenade, a magazine, several bullets, and bottles were dug out of a farm in Asingan town, Pangasinan province on Sunday, January 8.

A farm worker of Asingan Councilor Johnny Mar Agunias-Carig discovered the war materiel on the official’s property in Barangay Baro.

The worker was reportedly digging the ground when he hit a metal object, unearthing a grenade first.

Carig immediately informed the Asingan police station about the discovery, and the lawmen sought help from the Explosive and Ordnance Division in Tayug town to recover the war materiel.
