Over P1.5 million worth of shabu seized from couple in Subic
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – More than P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) was confiscated from a couple in Subic town in Zambales province early Saturday (Jan. 7).
Police reported that Joemmier John Leapart, 35, an alleged member of Naldi drug group and considered a high-value target in Central Luzon, and his wife Angelica Leapart, 34, were arrested in Barangay (village) Calapacuan around 3:05 a.m.
The arrest came after Angelica reportedly sold one sachet of shabu to an undercover agent in Sitio (sub-village) Bukid in Calapacuan.
Seized from them were a total of 14 transparent plastic sachets containing 227.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,544,960 and other drug paraphernalia.
They are now detained and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
