1 dead, 2 hurt as wayward dump truck rams 5 vehicles in Rizal province

LUCENA CITY — A motorcycle rider was killed, and two others were injured on Wednesday when a wayward dump truck rammed five vehicles in Rodriguez town in Rizal province.
The Region 4A police reported that Wilhelm Consigna lost control of the dump truck he was driving around 3:30 p.m. along the Don Mariano extension in Barangay San Isidro.
The wayward truck rammed a car, motorcycle, tricycle, a motorcycle with a sidecar, and a jeepney.
Ronaldo Mijares, the driver of the motorcycle with a sidecar, died from grave injuries, while the drivers of the tricycle and the other motorcycle, who also suffered injuries, were rushed to the nearest hospital.
Consigna was placed in police custody. INQ
