DOH logs 7 new fireworks-related injuries
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday said seven new fireworks-related injuries have been reported and recorded nationwide.
This brings the total of fireworks-related injuries to 32 from December 21 to 28.

Only 23 cases reported in the same period last year.

Discouraging the public to use fireworks, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. enjoined local government units to designate a common area for the fireworks display to minimize the risk for injuries.
According to the DOH, a total of 128 firework-related injuries were recorded in 2021.
