DepEd warns public vs scam artists
The Department of Education (DepEd) has cautioned the public about individuals using the agency’s name to solicit contributions and donations. In an advisory, Education Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla said the DepEd and its executive committee did not authorize anyone to solicit money. “All concerned are hereby advised to be cautious and not to deal with unscrupulous person/s or entities asking for donation, personal information or account confirmation using the name of the Office of the Undersecretary for Finance, any DepEd executive committee or official, or any DepEd office,” Sevilla added.
