Gems take on Superchargers
THE CEBUANA Lhuillier Gems take on Big Chill today in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Arena in San Juan.
The Gems are gunning for their third straight win but will be hard-pressed to do so against a Superchargers team that has won two in a row.
The other game pits the Jr. Powerade Tigers against winless Cagayan Rising Suns.
The Jr. Tigers try to get back on the winning track after absorbing a 53-86 crushing from NLEX last week while the Rising Suns are still aiming for a breakthrough win after a 0-2 (win-loss) start.
The Gems started the season on a right note, beating Boracay Rum, 70-58, before toppling Café France, 84-72.
Big Chill, on the other hand, won against Café France (74-73) and Cagayan Rising Suns (98-66) under new coach Robert Sison./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
