MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported smooth traffic flow along major roads in Metro Manila on the morning of Christmas Eve but noted that traffic jams may return on December 27.

It said that easy travel is expected in Metro Manila from Saturday, December 24, until Monday, December 26, which has been declared by the government as an additional special non-working holiday.  Christmas Day, December 25, which falls on a Sunday this year, is a regular holiday in the country.
