LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Southern Tagalog suspended Friday sea travel for all small vessels in Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon provinces due to bad weather.
Citing a 5 a.m. a state weather bureau forecast, the Coast Guard said strong gale with wind force and rough to very rough sea conditions associated with the northeast monsoon were affecting the Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon seaboards.
Thus, it suspended all trips of small vessels 250 gross tonnages or less.
Earlier, the PCG-Batangas grounded small sea vessels due to rough sea conditions.
Sea travel for small vessels may resume when the weather permits as may be declared by Pagasa, the PCG said. INQ
