Sea travel suspended anew for small vessels in Batangas

LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Batangas suspended sea travel anew on Friday for small vessels due to rough sea conditions.
The PCG advisory cited a 5 a.m. forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) of a strong gale with wind force and rough to very rough sea conditions.
This meant that all trips of small crafts with 250 gross tonnages or less, like motorized passenger or fishing boats, in Batangas port were canceled.
The Pagasa forecast is hoisted over the western seaboards of Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro Including Lubang Island, Palawan Including Calamian, Cuyo, and Kalayaan Islands.
The suspension order would be lifted, and sea travel for small crafts “may be resumed any time when weather/sea conditions permit as may be declared” by Pagasa, the PCG-Batangas said.
