LEGAZPI CITY — A drug suspect was killed while two others were arrested in separate operations on Thursday, Dec. 22, in Camarines Sur province.

Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Eduardo Orcine sold at 9:45 p.m. a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P15,000 in Barangay Mabolo.

When the suspect noticed that he was transacting with police officers, he drew and fired his 45-caliber pistol, prompting the police to retaliate, hitting the suspect.

Orcine was tagged as a big-time drug personality and is on the illegal drugs watch list.

Bongon said authorities recovered 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.

In San Fernando town, Orcine’s brother, Crisanto, 40, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. in Barangay Bonifacio.

Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, said they recovered 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 from Crisanto, a newly identified drug personality.

In Bula town, Tirso Francia, 50, was arrested around 9 a.m. in Barangay San Agustin.

Recovered were three grams of shabu worth P20,400, a digital pocket weighing scale, assorted lighters, aluminum foil, and other drug tools.

Domingo said the suspect was a big-time drug suspect, included in the illegal drugs watch list, and arrested on March 23 for violating the anti-cattle rustling law. INQ
