LUCENA CITY — Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested two suspected big-time traffickers in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday in Lucban town in Quezon province and seized more than P205,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm.

Collared at 12:20 p.m. were Kirby Cris Remolana, 37, and Joel Venzuela, 46, both of the locality, after they sold shabu to an undercover police, Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said in a report Thursday, Dec. 22.

Seized from the suspects were 30.22 grams of shabu with estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P205,496 and worth P616,488 in the street market.

Also recovered from the duo was an undocumented .9mm pistol loaded with seven bullets.

Police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

Also confiscated was a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Both suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and another case for illegal possession of a firearm. INQ
