OLONGAPO CITY — A gas tanker crashed into several electrical posts in this city on Sunday (Dec. 18), causing gridlock and power interruptions in some areas, authorities said Tuesday.

Police said the driver of the tanker lost control of the vehicle while traversing the national road in Barangay Cabalan, causing it to hit the three utility poles.

Emergency personnel immediately responded to the area to prevent gas leakage.

No one was hurt in the incident, and the power had already been restored, police said.

Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the tanker would be removed from the accident site on Tuesday with the help of the City Engineering Office.
